Shahbaz Sharif visits CMH, MH

RAWALPINDI: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) and the Military Hospital (MH) to inquire after the people, who suffered injuries during the Shalimar Plaza suicide bombing. The city’s commissioner, Zahid Saeed, briefed him on the blast and subsequent treatment given to the injured. The chief minister later visited the memorial of the military men and civilians, who died during the October 9 terrorist attack on the General Headquarters (GHQ), amid tight security. He laid floral wreath on the memorial and offered Fateha for the dead. Shahbaz said on the occasion that the nation was united against terrorists. He said sacrifices of the armed forces, police and civil society would not go waste and terrorism would be defeated. Provincial Information Secretary Shoaib Bin Aziz, Inspector General of Police Tariq Saleem, District Coordination Officer Imdadullah Bosal, Regional Police Officer Aslam Tareen, City Police Officer (CPO) Rao Muhammad Iqbal and other senior officials accompanied the chief minister. staff report
